Fernando Ricksen's move to Zenit St Petersburg hits a hitch after an incident on the flight to Russia. The pilot is forced into an unscheduled landing shortly after take-off when the Dutch right-back horrifies his fellow passengers by screaming about "Snakes on the plane".
Flight staff naturally assume the controversial defender is hallucinating under the effects of delirium tremens and unceremoniously boot him off, along with a wisecracking FBI agent who bears an uncanny resemblance to Samuel L Jackson and seems to be suffering the same delusion.
Unfortunately for crew and passengers, Ricksen has been clean and sober since his well-publicised mishap and Flight 121 plunges into the sea after the pilot and co-pilot are bitten by one of the hundreds of cobras sneaked on board.
